Uber has been open for business for 6 weeks. How are we doing? Here's an update on Uber for Business (U4B) from the #UberData Team.
At Uber, our mission is to bring transportation as reliable as running water to everyone, everywhere: just tap a button, and your car arrives in minutes. While simple on the surface, the seamlessness of the Uber experience belies the enormous complexity that powers it. But now that we have this fundamental capability in place—a capability we like to think of as converting bits to atoms—in over 40 countries around the world, there are so many things we would love to build on top of it. We’ll never conceive of every great idea, though, and we could certainly never build them all.

Since the early days of Uber, we’ve been excited about the idea of providing transportation so inexpensive and reliable, people can actually sell their cars. Today, we’re announcing a bold experiment straight from the Uber Garage that we believe will be another important step toward that vision, and we’re calling it UberPool.
You asked, we delivered. Today, Uber is truly open for . . . business. As business travel with Uber has increased, we’ve heard from loyal users that the ability to use a shareable business account would make their lives a lot more seamless – and a lot more Uber. We aim to please, and so we set out to build the best possible product for companies and their traveling employees, whether the destination is Denver or Dubai. The result: Uber for Business.
