Found: Chicago’s Secret Ubers

We know, sometimes you’re promised gigantic, game-changing developments that only result in a BIG FREAKING HOLE in the city. Well fear not Chicago, some things aren’t imaginary. “Secret Ubers” are on the road as @Uber_CHI begins testing…

AND, apparently it didn’t stay quiet long. Our “secret Ubers” had only been on the road for a couple hours and rider zero, Tom Conrad, CTO of Pandora & his team used Uber to cruise from W Lakeshore over to Groupon’s 600 West HQ! Go ahead and help us test, but be careful, this is for adventurous Uber riders only!

During our “secret Uber” test phase we’ll have limited supply and low availability but if you’re one of the lucky ones who gets a ride, please feel free to send us your thougths & feedback to  supportChicago@uber.com or on Twitter @Uber_CHI.

The entire thing sounds garbled and confusing. It's like you just made it up on the spot or just overthought it too much.

YES. I use uber in California all the time for business. Glad it is coming with me when I go home to Chicago on the weekends :)

How convenient that the CTO of Pandora was one of the first people who got to use Uber in Chicago. C'mon guys, Chicago people aren't dumb. Can't wait for Uber to be available to the commoners of Chicago.

sara.zaccaro Hey Sara - although availability is low, the 'secret Ubers' are out and available to anyone :) That includes anyone from your Chicago commoners to Barack & roll'.

Enjoy your rides & send us feedback; supportChicago@uber.comThanks,

Ryan @ Uber

sara.zaccaro I'm a commoner. A common commoner, actually. I just rode in my first Uber Chicago ride. Good stuff. Smart move on getting a high profile person to take the first ride.
